Next instruct MySQL to ignore the GRANT Tables. Then start MySQL.<\/p>\n
mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables
mysql --user=root mysql<\/pre>\nReset Password<\/strong><\/h4>\n
Next reset your password.<\/p>\n
update user set Password=PASSWORD('new-password') where user='root';
flush privileges;
exit;<\/pre>\nStart MySQL<\/strong><\/h4>\n
Finally restart MySQL.<\/p>\n
