Question
How do I show the CPU usage for the management processor ?
Answer
To see the CPU usage on the MP (Management Processor) the following command is used,
[email protected]# show cpu-utilization peak: 41.4 percent busy at 5520 seconds ago 7243 sec avg: 10.3 percent busy 1 sec avg: 1.0 percent busy 5 sec avg: 10.5 percent busy 60 sec avg: 10.5 percent busy 300 sec avg: 10.3 percent busy ASB1/1 peak: 0.9% in 1h14m, last sec: 0.1%, 5 sec: 0.1%, 60 sec: 0.1%, 300 sec: 0.1% ASB1/2 peak: 0.9% in 13m20s, last sec: 0.1%, 5 sec: 0.1%, 60 sec: 0.1%, 300 sec: 0.1% ASB1/3 peak: 7.7% in 2m14s, last sec: 0.1%, 5 sec: 0.1%, 60 sec: 0.1%, 300 sec: 0.1% ASB1/4 peak: 1.0% in 1h59m, last sec: 0.1%, 5 sec: 0.1%, 60 sec: 0.1%, 300 sec: 0.1%
Note : the actual MP usage is highlighted in yellow, the other totals relate to the BP`s (Barrell Processors).
To see a breakdown of the processor usage across each of the processes running on the MP the following command is used,
[email protected]# show proc cpu first_index 751 Process Name 5Sec(%) 1Min(%) 5Min(%) 15Min(%) ACL 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 ARP 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 BGP 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 ICMP 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 IP 0.2 0.2 0.2 0.2 ISIS 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 L2VLAN 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 NAT 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 OSPF 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 RIP 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 STP 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 VRRP 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 IPV6 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 ICMP6 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 ND6 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 OSPFv3 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 IPV6_RX 0.0 0.5 0.6 0.8
