Within this article we will show you the commands to show the status of the serial cable i.e whether it is connected without the need to physically check the device.
Commands
The follow commands shows the status that the failover daemon detects on the serial cable from its failover peer.
Version | Command |
10.x | b failover cable |
11.x | tmsh show sys failover cable |
Output
There are 3 outputs that can generated by running the previous command. They are,
Output | Meaning |
cable state 0 | Active unit detects zero from its peer on the serial cable |
cable state 1 | Standby unit detects one from its peer on the serial cable |
cable state unset | Serial cable is not correctly connected. |
