In order to disable IP Routing Mode on Windows 2008 locate the following registry key (see below) and change IPEnableRouter from 1 to 0.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
To confirm that IP Routing is disabled run the following command :
C:\Documents and Settings\admin>ipconfig /all | findstr "Routing"
IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No
